Mr Sher Afzal Khan hold MPhil Degree in Strategic Studies from Air University Islamabad and Master Degrees in Political Science & Library Information Management from University of Karachi. He joined International University as Director Library Services and Member University Senate in September 2021 where he oversees seven libraries. He has extensive experience in the field of Library Information Science, information technology, Knowledge Management, Information Communications Technologies, Open Source Technologies, Research & Development, Lead Trainer and consultant Open Source Technologies. He has served in many national leadership positions including as a founder and President Koha Pakistan, Pioneer Country Ambassador for Pakistan for DSpae MIT University USA, Chair SIG-ED Assist &t (Association for Information Science and Technology, Winner of Best Library Award, Winner of IEEE and Emerald International Awards. Mr Khan has serves on many library industry related committees including Pakistan higher Education Commission and PASTIC, delivers talks and media interviews, and has published in several journals. Mr Khan has More than 16 years of Professional experience in the field of Information Sciences, Knowledge Management, Information Communications Technologies, Open Source Technologies, Research & Development, Lead Trainer and consultant Open Source Technologies. Mr Khan manages all aspects of library operations, including both print and online resources. He also Provide leadership, instruction, training, and support for library technology by administering the library’s core technology systems and platforms, creatively implementing current and emerging technology, and teaching information literacy skills and concepts. He has conducted 150 hands on training workshop, organize 4 international conference, represent Pakistan in many International forum and successfully implemented 80+ Modern Library project Nationally and Internationally.
